The kombu infusion is the real deal—the umami depth is noticeably rounder and less salty than the stuff I usually grab. I’ve been using the tamari for dipping and the soy for stir-fries, and both hold up their flavor even after cooking. This pack is my new pantry staple.
I was skeptical about paying more for soy sauce, but the kombu-steeping really makes it richer and less sharp than the supermarket stuff I usually grab. Used it in a stir-fry last night and the umami depth was noticeable without any extra salt. Tamari’s great for my gluten-free friend, too.
The kombu really comes through in both of these—my stir-fry tasted noticeably deeper than with the supermarket stuff I used to grab. The two-bottle pack means I can keep one in the pantry and one by the stove, which is perfect for my cooking flow.
